Permanent makeup, also known as semi permanent makeup, micropigmentation or a cosmetic tattoo is a process of inserting hypo-allergic pigments into the dermal layer of the skin with a digital needle to enhance your features, save time on beauty regimes and increase confidence. The pigment breaks down in the skin over a period of time and colour boosts are recommended every 12 - 18 months to keep your results looking the best
Just imagine not having to apply your lipstick and eyeliner every morning or worry about penciling your eyebrows to perfection! Cosmetic tattoo treatments will have you looking your best day to night and is a popular choice for all ages 18+ including those who require corrective treatment following an accident, illness or surgery
Thin, sparse or undefined eyebrows due to years of over plucking, age or hair loss can be a thing of the past due to the increasingly popular treatment of Semi Permanent Eyebrows.
You can choose between the hairstroke method which is a good choice if wish to achieve fuller looking and realistic brows, a soft powdered technique that gives the finished result of a soft pencil/ powder brow or the latest ombre style with soft faded edges
Semi permanent eyeliner is suitable for those who wish to enhance eye shape, colour and gain a result of more naturally thicker looking eyelashes. Clients can benefit from a fuss free, perfectly even eyeliner look day and night saving hours on morning routines.
You can choose to define your eyes with a fine, classic or winged style eyeliner
A cosmetic lip tattoo will enhance the appearance of your lips giving a fuller, more defined shape which is the perfect alternative or compliment treatment to lip fillers and is the perfect choice if you have lost the shape or colour of your lips and love to wear tinted lip gloss / lipsticks. Smaller lips can be made to appear fuller, more youthful and uneven lip lines can be corrected.
You can choose between a soft natural lip blush, a defined lip liner or full lip colour for a more made up look
Pigment is implanted into the dermal layer of the skin using a state of the art machine designed specifically for the cosmetic market. Treatments are carried out in accordance to strict health and safety protocols using single use sterile needle cartridges.
On the day of your appointment you will need to fill out a medical history form to ensure you are suitable for treatment.
Numbing cream is then applied to the area to ensure maximum comfort whilst we discuss your personal treatment plan. I will use a make up pencil to template your desired look and mix pigments to match your skin tone, hair colour and lifestyle. Only when you are 100% happy will we proceed with the treatment.
A mandatory touch up is required 4-12 weeks after the initial appointment in order to complete treatment. This allows time for the first treatment to heal and clients may wish to make minor changes to their desired result.
The pigment will, after the healing process, stay in the skin for a number of years. It will breakdown and fade with time, dependent on the persons age, skin type, medication, lifestyle, sun exposure and colour chosen.
All clients are offered an allergy test for the pigments even though reactions to hypo-allergic pigments are rare my procedure is to send out a patch test kit for easy self application prior to your treatment or this will be completed in clinic if you come in pre treatment for a consultation. Alternatively a patch test waiver can be signed which means that the client has been offered, but declined a patch test and is happy to proceed with treatment.
Full aftercare advice will be given after treatment
